Usage instructions
To access the SoftNAS StorageCenter instance from AWS EC2 in your browser, follow these steps:
- Launch the instance.
- Once the instance is running, copy the public DNS and instance ID. The instance ID can be identified by the prefix i-.
- Paste the DNS into the browser window. An Authentication Required dialog will display.
- Enter the username and password then click OK. The username is softnas. The password is the instance ID.
- The initial License Agreement page will display. The web browser may warn you that the web address is not secure. Accept the warning and proceed.
- Read and accept the SoftNAS (by Buurst) license agreement.
- SoftNAS StorageCenter will display the Welcome Message and Release Notes, which you are encouraged to read. From here, you can access all the features and functions of SoftNAS StorageCenter.
