It provides a solid out-of-the-box experience, which lacks customization options for specific needs or workflows. They have amazing support.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It simplifies the process of backing up and restoring data across various environments, including cloud, on-premises, and hybrid setups. We benfit as the automation of backup processes reduces resource allocation and allows IT teams to focus on more strategic initiatives. The quick restore capabilities minimize disruption to business operations, enhancing overall resilience and uptime.

Overall, i think Rubrik is an great backup solution that combines ease of use, reliability, security, and innovation. It has significantly improved our backup strategy and provided us with the confidence that our data is well-protected.
Rubrik has provided us with peace of mind with its robust and dependable backup capabilities. The instant recovery and Live Mount features are a game-changer, allowing us to quickly restore data in case of any issues. This reliability is crucial for maintaining business continuity and protecting against data loss.

What do you dislike about the product?
It defenatly has its floors when coming to releaseing new versions and patches. Some of these often seem rushed as we have had a few instances now where we have upgrades the software to find the next morning all our backups have failed, this then puts a bit of a bad taste in your mouth when having to unpick everything to get he backups up and running once again whilst giving reassurance to senior management
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Security and Reliability, there is now a massive confidence boost within the senior management teams that our data is safe and recoverable should the event arise

Easy to use data backup and recovery
What do you like best about the product?
I like the quick setup and the easy of use. The customer service is great and answers questions or assist quick. The number of new features released by Rubrik continues to improve and exceed my expectation. The multiple connections with other vendors such as Microsoft help to implement various backup and recovery solutions.

I have no dislikes about Rubrik because they continue to improve the product.

Rubrik is helping with databackup and recovery solutions as well as with Disaster Recovery plan
Peace of mind
What do you like best about the product?
There are a lot of things to like about Rubrik. Starting with the cloud native approach. The software is designed with cloud based archive in mind. Features like cloud-out allows you to archive your backups to major cloud providers like AWS and Azure. Cloud-on allows you to convert those archived backups to cloud mounted VMs like EC2.
Other than that the on-premise features allows easy recovery using live mount directly from Rubrik Storage.

What do you dislike about the product?
While the appliance and software is very simple and easy to use. The licensing model for all the features is very complicated. For a new customer it is very hard to understand what features are included as part of the base purchase.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is very easy to use and automate. Once the VMWare is integrated and SLAs are configured the backup process is automated and handsoff. Reporting is also very simple and allows administrators to keep track of all the VMs that are maintaining their SLAs.

What do you like best about the product?
Rubrik is very easy to implement as the software just works right out of the box without the need for any custom tuning, and is able to backup servers and databases without any noticeable impact to the applications. Rubrik is constantly looking at including new protection sources, and actively engage with customers for feedback. Rubrik has an informative dashboard and robust reporting engine to simplify daily management tasks. The Rubrik Security Cloud (RSC) integrates all data protection/recovery tasks and system management into a single pane of glass. The Rubrik support team is very knowledgeable and responsive.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some lacking features, but Rubrik is constantly making improvements and adding new features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Rubrik provides us a single product to backup/recover ALL of our database sources (MSSQL, Oracle, and IBM DB2), as well as servers file systems, VMware, and even Exchange. The previous products we used were not able to provide protection of all data sources (at least not without significant performance impact) to the end user applications.
Backup simplicity, ransomware protection with a side of data discovery
What do you like best about the product?
Rubrik has made backups simply with one an easy to deploy appliance, and user interface that allows our junior staff to perform tasks that previously required a certified backup technician. We have always been able to recover data when needed and have never had to pay ransomware.The support team associated with Rubrik is to be commended for their expertise and responsiveness.
What do you dislike about the product?
Price negotiation with sales team and fixed size appliances, with fixed size appliances less of an issue now that virtual appliances can now scale to larger sizes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Rubrik is making backups cool again! They are an organization that listens to their customers and inovates to achieve the best outcome for their customers. During hafnium exploits we were able to scan all our exchange servers offline without impacting production by leveraging their api first design.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Rubrik backs up about 2000 VMs in our environment. We needed a solution, that is reliable, easy to implement and doesn't need much care in terms of keeping it up-to-date. Usability was also a big deal for us. No need to hire additional specialists to administrate the clusters. It's really feature rich and future proof. All assets we need to backup and things we plan in the future are already supported. Support is always friendly and helpful, if needed and proactively monitors the clusters e.g. for hardware faults.
Features like instant recovery let us recover faulty assets in about 2 minutes and storage vMotion can be done afterwards, from Rubrik or vCenter UI. Single file recovery is really helpful, the UI helps browsing and downloading needed files really fast. RBAC makes it possible to give restore permissions to key users and showing them how to use the UI doenst't take much time and is really intuitive. Rubrik offers many security features, like MFA, 2-person rule, isolated backup data and much more. And last but not least, it is API driven and enables us to automate many tasks. Even things like automatically restoring to isolated recovery sites can be done to check backup integrity. And I like the possiblity to setup an orchestrated recovery plan.
