I want to configure user access to cloud applications in the AWS IAM Identity Center.

Resolution

To access the AWS access portal, use your user credentials for the directory that's configured in the IAM Identity Center.

Set up AWS Organizations

Set up AWS Organizations with the Organizations management account. For more information, see IAM Identity Center prerequisites and Creating and managing an organization.

Assign user access to cloud applications

Use the IAM Identity Center console to assign application access to users or groups.

To locate the AWS access portal URL, open the IAM Identity Center console, choose Dashboard, and then choose the link in AWS access portal URL. To log in to the AWS access portal, see Signing in to the AWS access portal.

Note: To manage user access, it's a best practice to use groups instead of users. Groups are easier to manage than users and require less configuration. Manage your groups in the directory that's configured in the IAM Identity Center.
