I want to create Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) options set for my AWS Directory Service directory. How can I do this?

Short Description

By default, Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (Amazon VPC) uses AWS DNS instead of your directory service DNS. It's a best practice that you create a DHCP options set for your AWS Directory Service directory. Then, assign the DHCP options set to the VPC that your directory runs in. This allows any instances in that VPC to point to the specified domain and for DNS servers to resolve their domain names.

Resolution

To create a DHCP options set for your AWS directory, follow the instructions to Create a DHCP Options Set.
