Amazon Omics is a new purpose-built service that helps healthcare and life science organizations store, query, and analyze genomic, transcriptomic, and other omics data and then generate insights from that data to improve health and advance scientific discoveries. Omics is designed to support large scale analysis and collaborative research so you can store and, together with other AWS services, analyze genome data for entire populations. Amazon Omics also automates provisioning and scaling of bioinformatics workflows, so you can run analysis pipelines at production scale and spend more time on research and innovation.
With Amazon Omics, you can bring genomic, biological, and population health data together to generate insights and offer more personalized care with multimodal analysis. For example, you can train ML models with Amazon SageMaker to help researchers predict whether individuals are predisposed to certain diseases. You can also combine an individual’s genome data with their medical history from Amazon HealthLake to deliver better diagnosis and personalized treatment plans. Additionally, Amazon Omics is HIPAA eligible.
Amazon Omics is now available in the US East (N. Virginia), US West (Oregon), Asia Pacific (Singapore), Europe (Frankfurt), Europe (Ireland), and Europe (London) AWS Regions.
