Why AWS Outposts Servers?
AWS Outposts servers have two form factors: the 1U server comes with Amazon EC2 C6gd compute optimized instances that are powered by Arm-based AWS Graviton2 processors, and the 2U server comes with Amazon EC2 C6id compute optimized instances that are powered by 3rd generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors for a wide variety of workloads. The pricing information for Outposts servers includes delivery, infrastructure service maintenance, and software patches and upgrades.
You can purchase Outposts servers capacity for a three-year term and choose between three payment options: All Upfront, Partial Upfront, and No Upfront. If you choose the Partial Upfront or No Upfront payment option, the monthly charges will be due over the three-year term. Billing for each AWS Outposts server begins upon the earlier of: 1) compute capacity becoming available after installation of the Outposts server or 2) the 31st day after delivery of the Outposts server to you.
At the end of your Outposts servers term, you can either renew your subscription and keep your Outposts server(s), or return your Outposts server(s). If you do not notify AWS of your selection before the end of your term, your Outposts server(s) will be renewed on a monthly basis, at the rate of the No Upfront payment option corresponding to your Outposts server configuration.

Except as otherwise noted, Outposts servers prices are exclusive of applicable taxes and duties, including VAT and applicable sales tax. For customers with a Japanese billing address, use of AWS services is subject to Japanese Consumption Tax. Learn more.
Operating Systems
Prices listed above do not include operating system (OS) charges. OS charges will be applied based on usage per instance.
AWS Services
AWS Services running on Outposts are priced based on usage by the hour per instance and exclude underlying EC2 instances. This means you will not be double charged for the EC2 instances. AWS Marketplace Software
AWS Marketplace AMIs are charged at the same price as in the parent AWS Region.
Data Transfer
Data transfer from your Outpost to the parent AWS Region incurs no charge. Similarly, data transfer to and from your Outpost to your local network also incurs no charge. Similar to data transfer charges in AWS Regions, data transfer out charges from the parent availability zone to the Outpost are the same as in the AWS Regions. Intra-AZ, inter-AZ and VPC data transfer charges in the AWS Region remain the same. Learn more about data transfer here.

To order an Outpost, you will need to subscribe to AWS Enterprise Support or AWS Enterprise On-Ramp Support. Enterprise Support offers a 15-minute remote response for critical events. Enterprise On-Ramp Support offers a 30-minute remote response for critical events. With Enterprise Support or Enterprise On-Ramp Support, you get 24x7 technical support from high-quality engineers, tools and technology to automatically manage the health of your environment, consultative architectural guidance delivered in the context of your applications and use-cases, and a designated Technical Account Manager (TAM) with Enterprise Support or access to a pool of Technical Account Managers with Enterprise On-Ramp Support to coordinate access to proactive / preventative programs and AWS subject matter experts.
