About the Program
The AWS Ambassador Program builds a community of AWS professionals. These professionals are thought leaders at an influential position at AWS Partners. AWS Ambassadors drive their organization's AWS proficiency and share their thought leadership. AWS Ambassadors have fundamental AWS expertise and experience supporting our customers in their success with the AWS cloud. The program fosters sharing with and collaborating among peers in the community and AWS.

Who can be an AWS Ambassador?
AWS Ambassadors are AWS professionals within the AWS Partner community. They are thought leaders and influential in driving proficiency on the AWS cloud at their partner organizations.
AWS Ambassadors are passionate about AWS and share their passion and expertise internally through presentations, study groups and workshops, and externally through public speaking, writing blog posts or white papers, publishing articles, and sharing content on social media.
In this capacity, AWS Ambassadors are instrumental in driving proficiency at their organization through various APN programs and AWS certifications, as well as launching new opportunities and developing offerings to support customers in their success on the AWS platform.
The AWS Ambassador holds either a business or technical leadership role at their organization.

How do AWS Ambassadors differ from AWS Heroes?
AWS Ambassadors are considered an extension of the AWS partner team and are focused on influencing their organization's AWS proficiency and thought leadership. They share their expertise both internally and externally through publicly consumable content.
In contrast, AWS Heroes are recognized individuals for their significant contributions to the AWS community. They are not directly tied to an AWS partner, but instead focus on sharing their knowledge and passion for AWS through various community-focused activities.
While some individuals may hold both AWS Ambassador and AWS Hero titles, the programs have distinct goals, with Ambassadors primarily serving their organization, and Heroes serving the broader AWS community.

How can I apply to become an AWS Ambassador?
To apply for the AWS Ambassador program, you must:
- Be an employee of an AWS Partner organization
- Be driving your organization's AWS proficiency and adoption
- Share your AWS expertise and thought leadership both internally and externally
- Reach out to your AWS Partner Solutions Architect or Partner Manager to initiate the application process
